Message to Republicans: Shut your traps!

Sooner or later you are going to have to accept responsibility for your incompetence, the mess you left behind and how perverse this TRICKLE DOWN economic philosophy really is

I don’t care how hard you try to twist the facts, sweep under the rug the mishandling of our economy, treating your mistakes and those of ex-President Bush as insignificant blunders, you refuse to talk about it or even admit that those were the overwhelming factors we are in this mess. Obviously, you are counting on Americans having a short memory span and others who are more intellectually challenged will buy into your distortions and lies.

No, Mr. /Ms. Republican-Teahadist, Obama doesn’t own this economy, nor the unemployment, nor the bail outs to the very rich, the Health Care mess, the housing crisis, the two stupid wars, the deficit, the unemployment and a whole bunch of other shit you are now blaming him or making him an escape goat for your foibles.

No, don’t give us this crap about big government spending your tax dollars. Bush and his Republican cronies did a good job all by themselves by giving away the house and its contents to the likes of Halliburton* and Black Water, to the Koch brothers and the Walmart Waltons, to Exxon and Shell and lately BP. They squandered the public treasure in bridges to nowhere and awarded contracts to build weapons that had absolutely no useful purpose. They would summarily give drilling permits with ease and willingness while the working stiff had to endure ten visits from inspectors and hundreds of dollars in permit fees just to build a fence in his house.

Furthermore, the Republicans presided over thirty some years of the dismantling of our regulatory system in order to benefit the very rich and the corporations. It is clear to me and millions of other Americans that the redistribution of wealth has already taken place and that there is a de-facto socialistic system in place only it is a welfare system designed to enrich the rich more and give corporations special privileges.

We saw the decades before President Obama as one long string of tax reductions for the wealthy and corporations, all kinds of tax loop holes and most of all, we saw how there was a disproportionate redistribution of wealth...it did take place and if you are calling this class warfare, it was you who started it and made unacceptable.

You are just claiming that it is Obama’s problems now, without even a hint of the major fuck ups the Republicans had done for thirty years and Bush for the last eight. They really hurt America and now they are very vocal and dedicated to obstructionism and sabotage of the Obama Presidency when they should not only take responsibility for putting us in this mess but should help in trying to get us out instead of criticizing, opposing, delaying and lying.

There will always be people like me who you are not going to be able to silence, no matter how much you try with your scare tactics, your lies and your vicious personal attacks. You are simply not working towards the common good and the benefit of your country; you are not even remotely patriotic and you suck.

Yesterday I heard the most ridiculous of statements coming from some Republican Florida Congressperson. He actually was saying that it was Reagan who singlehandedly brought down the Soviet Empire. What a crock! Regan didn’t do shit. All he did was stand in front of the Brandenburg Gate and pronounce some empty rhetoric that has now become the trademark of his ideology: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” but as far as actions is concerned; I am not aware of any infiltration of the Kremlin, nor of any initiatives brought by the US and its allies to exert pressure or impose sanctions. I am not aware of any invasion into Soviet territory to “liberate” the Russian people. So when we say that Reagan was so influential in this we are just blowing hot air out of our asses.

(*Note: After raping and pillaging the US Treasury for billions and billions of dollars, Halliburton packed it up in 2007 and moved its world headquarters to Dubai, where it will pay absolutely no taxes on all of that blood money.)
