Most of the time, I don’t enjoy it as I get fuming mad when I read the lies, misconceptions, assumptions and exaggerations these blogs express.
But then again, the angrier I get, the more indignant I become I turn around and do a post on precisely why that or the other point of view is wrong. It is a good thing…it is a great motivator. I feel that if there is nobody resisting, nobody calling them out on their perverse agenda, then they will get away with it and we will be worse off as a society.
We see people like Rushie Bouncie-bouncie Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly being outrageously controversial…Glenn Beck with his conspiracy theories, or Tancredo with his rancid xenophobia…myopic eye doctor who thinks he understands politics gets elected in Kentucky and Sara Palin continues to be the underachiever, anti-intellectual, folksy ignoramus that she is. They don’t give a shit for the future of America or the welfare of our people because what they know is that the more controversial they are the more money they will make.
Then we have Fox News…for many reasons it has become the network of the conservatives, only reflecting the agenda of Teahadist-Republicans and the ideology of its owner…the very corrupt and repugnant Murdoch. Yet, there are people out there that are allowing this network to come into their living room and worse yet, they believe this shit they are spilling.
My impression of these Tehadist-Republicans is that they thrive on notoriety in order to get themselves into the news. I am not so sure that some of the gaffs made by the likes of Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry or Sarah Palin are innocent mutterings that are either misrepresentations of the facts or made up history…I think they know deep in their minds that they are wrong but that it is necessary to be outrageously controversial in order to get some traction with the ultra-conservative base.
