TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
Savannah Jean Hincapié was born at 7:11am on November 25, 2011 and weighed in at a hefty 7-11 lbs. That makes her a double 7-11 baby. On the way to the hospital they stopped at a 7-11 but she was not born in the parking lot there...(what a relief)
When I first held her in my arms I uttered these words: “Welcome to our world little one, it is a harsh and inhospitable environment but we will all try to make it tolerable for you and provide you with all the love you need. I have tried my best to leave this world a little better place than I found it but have failed miserably so far; I hope you understand” And with that, I planted a kiss on her forehead.
This little person couldn’t have come into a more loving environment; she is bringing joy, happiness and laughter into our family thanks to Laurie, my partner’s sister who lives with us along with her husband Carlos and his son Carlos Daniel.
My youngest daughter is now 32 years old and I am not sure I can remember how to change a diaper, after all in those days we had cloth diapers and none of the conveniences.
