LOVE AND MARRIAGE – NO BABY CARRIAGE

Now that same sex marriage is a reality in many places, what will it look like, what will the statistics for divorce be?

Same sex marriage is a reality in many countries as it also is in some states here in the U.S.A. This reality begs the question: How will the statistics look like after same sex marriage has been in effect for a while?

I should think that the answer to that is rather simple: Same sex divorce will not be significantly different than heterosexual divorce.

Putting aside the abomination bullshit and the sanctity of marriage crap, same sex couples will face similar temptations, the strains on relationships will be like those straights face. Presently, it is argued that gay people are more promiscuous, engage in anonymous sex and don’t take to lasting relationships as a rule; that may be so but consider the reasons: since most of society has looked upon these relationships as a deviation and a sin, then those people don’t have any expectations to solidify any relationship or enter into any lasting union…and there is the rub: humans need loving, they need sexual release and companionship even if it is for a fleeting moment. Therefore gay people engage in casual sex and are unwilling to make any emotional investment on a relationship that is doomed and designed to fail by society itself.

I have often said that we should not apply heterosexual marriage standards to gay relationships in view of the fact that it doesn’t work very well for straights…50% of all marriages end in divorce!
