WE’RE NOT LIKE A DOG SITTING AT THE SIDE OF THE TABLE OF PLENTY BEGGING FOR SCRAPS

We are not asking, we are demanding our civil rights…the same rights everyone else has.

Whatever your faith is, whichever erroneous interpretations of the Scriptures you opt to include and those you don’t like you discard…the government should not be your ally in codifying and legalizing your bigotry and hatred. 

Make it very clear to all…it is not a question of religious freedom…it is a human rights issue. Nobody objects to you having “faith” or practicing your religion…hell, you may want to believe in little green unicorns from Tasmania and hang from the chandelier while worshiping for all we care. But it is when you get together with people of the same mind set and you organize, you gain political power and then you insist in making legislation that deprive people of their right, their God given right to be themselves; to follow the pursuit of happiness as prescribed by our most valuable documents…those that say that “all men were created equal and have all the same rights under the laws…that government should not establish or favor any brand of religious ideology and that they should stay the fuck out of imposing their religious dogma on the rest of us. 

Fornicators, Sodomites, sexual deviates, sinners, perverted sexual freaks…all names given to people who are different from these repressed, frustrated ignorant bastards. Nobody is forcing them to marry somebody of their own sex, no one is forcing them to put their seal of approval on same sex marriage…conversely they  should not have the same option either…you can’t tell people they are immoral and sick unless they insert a penis into a vagina because that is an opinion and a misguided one at best. 

Furthermore, that sexual activity that is customary in heterosexual relationships is not enough to gain you the free ticket into your imaginary heaven. Surely either God or Jesus Christ would be utterly pissed at you  if your actions are hurtful to other people and your hatred overshadows the clear option that Christianity offers you: to love one another and to love your neighbor as you love yourself. 

I wish someone would tell me what does sex have to do with faith or a belief in a higher being? I want to have some kind of connection between a religious conviction and a sexual preference. Please don’t bring up the Leviticus crap again because that will just not cut it. There are hundreds of thousands of Scripture related passages that humanity does not believe in or follow because they have found out they are either obsolete or counterproductive, many of them downright harmful to humanity and to civilization…as is the case with slavery or polygamy.

Lastly, I would like to know how my loving someone affects how you love somebody, how does it interfere or diminish your love or your commitment?
