AND WE SHOULD VOTE REPUBLICANS BECAUSE?

I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ONE GOOD REASON TO VOTE REPUBLICAN

It is becoming increasingly more difficult for me to even contemplate why on earth anyone would have even a proclivity to merit the Republican ideology. I have always question the wisdom of voting for a political party or even an individual candidate that holds ideology that is diametrically opposed to everything I believe in.

Furthermore, I really have a problem with the Republican Party being the residence of choice of White Supremacist and Anti-Immigrant groups since I am a Hispanic myself and the accident of my birth is something I can’t change…If I was born 90 miles too far south for their comfort, so screw them.

 

These are things that are often heard in their talking points: 

· They are tougher on terrorists, we are more secure with Republicans

· They are fiscally responsible

· The economy grows when we have either a Republican President or Congress being led by the Republican Party

· Taxes are lower for everyone with the Republicans at the helm

· Government works more smoothly and more legislation is possible with Republicans

· Republicans champion the well being and prosperity of middle class and poor alike

· Republicans promote freedom of speech and encourage it

· Republicans are all in favor of freedom of religion

· Republicans are inclusive of minorities, do not discriminate and are at the head of any and all attempts to offer equality and opportunity to minorities.

· Republicans denounce and despise discrimination on any level.

· Republicans are always in the forefront of promoting family values, the sanctity of marriage and practice it themselves, they are the examples of high moral and ethical behavior. There is no room for infidelity, adultery or homosexual behavior.

· Republicans accept LGBT Americans and want to protect and give equal rights to them.

· Republicans respect the choice of a woman to have a say in her health and reproductive decisions.

· Republicans do not represent special interests or are swayed by financial contributions from any group whether it is from corporations or unions. Furthermore they cannot be influenced by any of these groups and will always represent their constituents and not special interests or listen to lobbyists.

· Republicans do not carry out smear campaigns attacking opponents and using character assassination and are always denouncing negative, dirty political campaigns or using lies or misleading innuendo. 

Republicans do not discourage or promote the admonishing of violence against their opposition and always denounce any such attempts and condemn them.

· Republicans are never arrogant in the international arena, they seek solutions through diplomacy rather than military force.

I suppose I could go on and on but what is the use? If you don’t see two or three of these points as valid then I am going to say it again: You don’t deserve America and Democracy.
