EVANGELICALS ARE GOING TO HELL

Religious tyranny is an indication of insecurity and a need for validation.

Tiranny
Definition: dictatorship
Synonyms:
absolutism, authoritarianism, autocracy, coercion, cruelty, despotism, domination, fascism, high-handedness, imperiousness, monocracy, oligarchy, oppression, peremptoriness, reign of terror, severity, terrorism, totalitarianism, totality, unreasonableness
Antonyms:

In a theocracy like Iran, they execute gays, others are not far behind.

Now I would like to pose these questions to Evangelicals, Fundamentalist Christians and specifically Rick Santorum. In your quest to spread your faith, in your endeavor to “spread the word” and to bring “the good news” do you not also seek validation? Are you not trying to convert others so that you feel more secure about your faith? Is it because you have doubts? Are you sure that your religion is the only one, the right one? What makes you think so?
Is this obsession with sex and homophobia perhaps an indication of your own frailties? Are you attracted to men? Do you have fantasies about having sex with other men? If you are not, it sure seems like it because nobody is so adamantly vocal on any issue unless they had that issue to deal with themselves.

My premise is as follows: If you are so sure about your faith, then you would have no motivation or need to go around trying to convert others. If your religion was “the right one” you would not even need to advertise it, people would come knocking at the gates of your house of worship; conversely, if you are sure about your marriage, how could two people three states away making love have any effect on your marital affairs? How would it affect your marriage and the institution of marriage in general if the people living next door to you had the same basic, human, civil rights as you do?
What you should understand once and for all is that religion is a business. It is no different than movie theaters; where you get people in once a week, you give them some entertainment and in exchange they pay you a fee. You have refined and perfected this business of religion. In the movie theaters the films have to be good. In order to extract extra money from the patrons, movie theaters have to sell pop corn, chocolate, candies, and soft drinks. The churches don’t even have to do that. the overhead is even lower because other than the pastor’s salary you really don’t have much else…you are even exempt from paying taxes for crying out loud.
I have heard in the past so many of your Christian friends express an erroneous concept of what America is. America is not a Christian nation. It never was and never would be. Our Founding Fathers were very specific about that and were determined that there would be a separation of church and state. So please, stop insisting in turning this country into a theocracy. There are millions of people like me who will not stand for it.
I will fight for your right to believe and to worship as you see fit. That is more than I can say for you because not only would you not do that for me, but you have proven in the past to discriminate and punish people like me who have no religious inclinations or sexual preferences different than yours.
As far as your worshiping is concerned…you have freedom of religion as I have freedom from religion. I don’t care if…and I have said this many times before, if you believe in little green unicorns from Tasmania and you hang from the chandelier to worship them, it makes no difference to me; but when you make laws that take away my rights, when you insist in humiliating me and discriminating against me, that is when I put my foot down..
I think that if you were to carry it through, and you finally were able to establish that this country is a Christian nation, you would find very little differences between your Theocratic America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Intolerance, authoritarianism, oppression, peremptoriness, and a reign of terror would prevail in America just like it does in Iran. Then you may see how under this theocracy the first ones to be executed will be gays, and then they will expand it to include non-Christians and so on. And please don’t tell me it will not happen…just look at Iran and our Inquisition.
The Iranian people are restricted from openly practicing any religion other than Islam. According to the country’s constitution, the “official religion of Iran is Islam and the doctrine followed is that of Ja’fari Shi’ism,” Even though the constitution also says that “other Islamic denominations are to be accorded full respect” and recognizes the country’s religious minorities, Zoroastrians, Christians and Jews, as “protected,” these protections are not implemented.
In 2007, the U.S. Department of State outlined the Islamic Republic’s extensive campaign to restrict freedom of religion and discriminate against nearly all non-Shi’a religious groups.

Whether you are aware of this or not, you Fundamentalist, Evangelical Christians are very intolerant of anyone or anything that is different from you. Now, just think about it for one moment…I know it is difficult for you to think outside of the box…but how do you think the Creator would feel about you being unjust, cruel and unfair to other human beings? How do you think that Jesus himself would react if he came and saw the amount of hatred you are spreading when he spent and gave his life to spreading love?
I suggest Mr. Santorum and you Evangelical-Fundamentalists out there that you just shut the fuck up, mind your own business and go about worshiping your imaginary, yet unjust god in those monuments to ignorance and superstition you call churches and temples.
