HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY

I hope yours is a day filled with green shamrocks and Bailey's.

Here is something you may not know about St. Patrick or the Irish: the real St. Patrick wasn't even Irish. He was born in Britain around A.D. 390 to an aristocratic Christian family with a townhouse, a country villa, and plenty of slaves.
Patrick's work in Ireland was difficult—he was constantly harassed and beaten by bullies, persecuted by the Irish royalty, and admonished by his British superiors. After he died on March 17, 461, Patrick was largely forgotten.
Nobody knows how eventually mythology grew and St. Patrick was adopted as the patron Saint of Ireland around the 16th century.
One thing I want to know…how is your Trifolium dubium? Are you going to show yours in public today?

Relax, that is the official name given to the shamrock which by the way is what it is said to be used by St. Patrick to explain the Trinity…a three leaf clover: the Son, the Father and the Holy Ghost. (I don’t know how the fourth leaf got in there)

But perish the thought that St. Patrick vanished the snakes from Ireland because there were none of those slithering, revolting creatures in Ireland to begin with.

And now, repeat after me: THERE ARE NO RAINBOWS WITH A POT OF GOLD AT THE END, MARGARINE AND LEPRECHAUNS DO NOT EXIST, TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS NEVER WORKED, NEVER WILL.
