WHAT IS NEXT FOR THE TEA BAG PARTY?

WILL THE REPUBLICANS REPUDIATE THEM ONCE AND FOR ALL?

We are all waiting on the edge of our seats for that answer. The more traditional influential Republicans had relinquished their influence and empowered the Teabaggers who are arguably the least educated, the least informed and competent group of people that ever got together for a common purpose.

It is an ideological fight, one that we thought we fought fifty years ago and was put to bed. Does the right of ownership of an establishment gives you the implicit alternative to refuse service to anyone you deem unworthy or because it is a public establishment do you have that right at all? Is America a Christian nation or a secular democracy? This is a culture war indeed and it will determine in the next elections what kind of America we are and want to be.
Are we going to tolerate the infusion of unlimited funds under the cloak of anonymity to political campaigns? Is this Citizens United Supreme Court decision the nail in the coffin of democracy? Can we afford to have the Koch brothers pull the strings of those Teabagger puppets?

These are very important questions that delineate the real underlying currents of what is motivating some of these Tea Bag wing-nuts. Not all are that way but there are far too many that resent the Civil Rights Legislation four decades ago and see it as another Federal Government intrusion and a way of imposing the will of the Federal Government on the individual States. Teabaggers really loath the Civil Rights movement and the gains Blacks made with Martin Luther King leading the movement. Ironically, these very same racist extremists think it appropriate for the government to come into our bedrooms, to control women’s reproductive organs and to criminalize something that God created and Christ never even uttered a word against: homosexuality.
But who are we trying to kid here? These people are for the most part racists, neo-anarchists, anti-women and gun-carrying fanatics with very short fuses ready to take up arms at any given moment. They see the end of America as they believe it should be, not a diverse and fair place to live where egalitarianism is king but a very exclusive, white Anglo-Saxon Protestant and Heterosexual dominated society. There is no room for anything else in this world of theirs and that is why a black President is totally unacceptable to them; all you have to do is listen to the mouthpiece of the GOP - Rush Limbaugh.
Although integrating the nation's schools was the first priority of the civil rights movement, the denial of equal access to public accommodations affected all blacks, not just students. Blacks could not use restaurants, bathrooms, water fountains, public parks, beaches, or swimming pools used by whites. They had to use separate entrances to doctor's offices and sit in separate waiting rooms. They could only sit in the balcony or in other designated areas of theaters. They had to ride at the back of streetcars and buses; and a lot of these Teabaggers are fine with that and would like to return to those idyllic days mostly because they are rabid racists.

There is a similarity here between the denial of civil rights to blacks and that same deprivation on the part of government to LGBT people. The issues are basically the same and the consequences in so many ways disastrous and odious for those being discriminated. We have seen plenty of hate crimes, teenage suicides and employment and housing discrimination. Even vigilanteism when as recent as a couple of weeks ago a man in Florida gunned down a black teenager.
These elections will also determine whether America will become a theocracy and violate the very principals our Founding Fathers laid down for us: that of the SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
No, Republicans are not going to get a break this time; we are not going to let them forget that they and the most incompetent President we ever had got us into an unnecessary war that cost more than 4,000 American lives and untold numbers of Iraqis. No, Republicans, we are not going to let you forget that you got this country into the worst economic recession since the Great Depression and all because your greed and your insistence in deregulating everything and giving tax cuts for the very wealthy.
And you want us to vote Republican again? Vote for Republicans who are not just proposing a re-enactment of George W. Bush’s economic policies but bring them back on steroids..
Your misfortune is the gain of the American people. Republicans thought it convenient to allow a chaotic and disingenuous movement like the Tea Party go on and encouraged it; then they proceeded to pander to them and to empower them and it will prove to be disastrous as we can already observe what has been happening in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and the crushing defeats that some of their anointed candidates got in the 2010 elections. They did manage to mislead the voters enough to capture the House of Representatives and with that they have been obstructing, delaying, opposing and in no uncertain terms sabotaging anything and everything to make President Obama a one term President.
