HELL

It is difficult to accept the concept of heaven and hell

 

Somehow, I can’t wrap my mind around either one. I can’t help but determine that these concepts are man created and they have a purpose: to scare the shit out of people so they will adhere to a religion.

But assuming that there is a heaven and a hell, would that not make God a very vindictive, evil and cruel entity? Why in heavens name would God create something to turn around and destroy it in a fit of rage? Would that not be considered childlish behavior, one in keeping with someone insecure and full of hatred? Have you seen children at play when they are in the sandbox and they are building a castle and it doesn’t come out the way they want and they throw a fit and kick it to destroy what they built?

I found out long ago, perhaps in my teens that all religions are fabricated. In their endeavor to explain the unexplainable…where we come from and who or what created all this, they offer outlandish, fantastical fairy tales, filled with myth and supernatural occurrences. It is the concept of miracles…the idea that something is not behaving according to the laws of nature…that it is an anomaly directly related to an action by the Creator. This is what I don’t accept because for every action, there is a reaction and there has to be a plausible explanation for any and all mysteries of the universe.

Unfortunately, mankind has a very limited intellect; the fact that we only use a very small portion of our brain and our mental capacity to understand things of transcendental nature does not give license to people fabricating, creating a whole slew of misconceptions and outlandish stories to explain the unexplainable. I recognize that one of my major problems is that I am not intelligent enough to offer an explanation…I don’t pretend to know where we come from or who or what created this…but I can guarantee that neither do religious people…at least they can’t offer you proof, evidence, facts or a convincing argument other than “you have to have faith”. No, you don’t, faith is a human feeling, something you can’t explain easily and it is not based on facts.

Whether you are better off with faith than without it; the jury is still out on that one. I can only speak for myself here and tell you that I don’t believe in little green unicorns from Tasmania and hang from the chandelier to worship them. But I refuse to waddle in that cesspool of ignorance and superstition that is called religion.

I don’t know if the Christian or other religion’s God exists, nor do I care. In the scheme of things that is something almost irrelevant for human beings who have a very limited intellect. But rest assured that in order to believe in HELL one has to believe in HEAVEN…and both concepts are repugnant to me. 

One thing I can assure you and that is that if God exists it would not be a ruthless, hateful God, nor would it favor those who discriminate, hate, and persecute other human beings just because they are different than themselves...it would be just the opposite...you would not be in good graces with the Creator only because you insert a penis into a vagina.
