CLASS WARFARE EXISTS – YES INDEED – THE REPUBLICANS HAVE BEEN WAGING IT AGAINST THE MIDDLE CLASS AND THE POOR FOR DECADES.

If only those sub-human poor and whining middle class accept the new reality that they have to work their fingers to the bone for peanuts they would be better off.

“That’s right out of the Republican Dirty Trick playbook - pillage what you are meant to protect and then blame the villagers. The Republicans have no ideas to change our economy for the better because they have no desire to change what, for them, it is working just fine. If only the “small people” would just accept their new Serf status instead of longing for a living wage!”

I predicted the Republican game plan a couple of years ago. I said that we should all expect the GOP to turn to social issues to distract from their flawed economic ideologies, from their insistence in waging class warfare and establishing a welfare state for the very wealthy and the corporations; that is why they have been voting NO on anything that helps the poor and the middle class.

The cards are on the table, all across America there are States with legislators and Governors instituting scorch-earth measures that hurt the middle class and the poor. An alarming effort to rig the next Presidential elections is in full swing. They are also giving their constituents a dose of artificial morality and holier than thou crap to distract them. This they have been doing without shame and with vigor. Anti-abortion, anti-birth control, anti-union, anti-gay, anti-civil rights, anti-adequate health care, anti-welfare, anti, anti, anti-everything that helps middle class and the poor.

I do believe there is a concerted effort to distract the general population and to divide it so that they can successfully carry out their bigger plan for America: An all powerful and affluent PLUTOCRACY with a THEOCRATIC government. They very effectively use that propaganda branch of the Republican Party that presumes to pass as a legitimate news organization to disseminate misinformation, lies, opinions and more opinions never backed by fact or empirical information.

President Reagan set us on this divisive path both by empowering Evangelical-Fundamentalists and by applying “Reaganomics” or “TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS” once called by papa Bush “VOODOO ECONOMICS” it has been a disastrous path, one that have caused the middle class and the poor to not grow and prosper but that allowed the wealthy and the corporations to make obscene profits. It is clear that instead of these social-morality issues we should be talking about the class war Republicans have been waging against working people since Reaganomics inflicted it’s supply-side, trickle-down, disaster on a once-vibrant middle class.

But of course, the attempts at dividing us continue…racism and xenophobia, homophobia and anti-labor, anti-women’s rights and against any kind of government provided safety nets. It is appalling and it is making my blood boil.

Shirley Sherrod gave voice to it when she noted in her speech to the NAACP that the conversation the nation needs to have was not about “black versus white” or “white versus black” but “rich versus poor.”

“Simply put, Republicans care only for their wealthy benefactors who sent them to Washington to make government, as FDR said, “an appendage to their own affairs,” ensuring that they can continue to ride your back to the bank without the “pesky” interference from the only institution powerful enough to slow them down – our Constitutionally-limited, democratically-elected, representative government of “We The People.”

If you listen to FDR’s speech in 1936, it’s clear that we are fighting the same forces of “organized money.” Unfortunately, at the moment, they are winning.

Read the transcript of the speech here.

“The fact is that 30 years of Reaganomics have made America the LEAST upwardly mobile of all the industrialized nations, given us the widest gap between rich and poor since the first Republican Great Depression and turned the middle class into overworked, underpaid, compliant Serfs who have to work 3 “uniquely American” jobs to not even come close to the same standard of living of the “Greatest Generation.” Even Reagan’s Budget Policy Director, David Stockman, admits that Reaganomics destroyed the American economy – saying the Republican party’s “new policy doctrines have caused four great deformations of the national economy, and modern Republicans have turned a blind eye to each one.”

In conclusion, the GOP is panicking right now as the Wall Street bosses and Bankers who own them are becoming alarmed at the growth of discontent across the country…they may want to ignore and diminish the significance of Occupy Wall Street but they sense there is trouble ahead for them and they fear a crushing defeat in 2012…for that reason they have been systematically changing election laws, making it more difficult to vote and in general disenfranchising millions of Americans. How ironic that those who gloat over their love of DEMOCRACY are the same ones working to end the right of Americans to engage in the democratic process by voting. We need more people to vote, to make it easier, not less people and harder to do it.
