GOVERNOR PERRY TELLS US TO PRAY FOR RAIN

And…Lo and behold…the rains will come

As they have for millions of years, and it hasn’t rained and then stopped…even in the Scriptures the longest recorded rain lasted 40 days (I question that seriously if you live in a monsoon location)

“Perry made the proclamation on his website, stating: "I urge Texans of all faiths and traditions to offer prayers on that day for the healing of our land, the rebuilding of our communities and the restoration of our normal way of life."

Perry is not the only state lawmaker to ask for prayer. In 2007, Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue hosted a prayer service for the southeastern drought.

Perhaps it's working. The first day of prayer began today, on Good Friday, and Weather.com is forecasting isolated thunderstorms today and tomorrow -- with a 30 percent chance of rain in Fort Worth.”*

Most people think of prayer as a personal way of communicating with their God. While most will not admit it, they know that prayer is nothing more than wishful thinking. Oh, sure, you may hear all these Evangelicals praising “THE POWER OF PRAYER” and how it can move mountains…but try to pray away someone’s terminal pancreatic cancer or an unwanted pregnancy and see what happens.

We find many of these people who are convinced that prayer is the solution to everything; particularly those of some “faith healing” denominations. We see how they let their children and other loved ones languish and die while they pray away to their imaginary God.

By aligning himself with all these fanatical Christianists, Governor Perry has shown America why he should not be President, conversely, Mitt Romney by just being a Mormon and believing in such outlandish fabricated religious fantasies that even other Evangelicals can’t bring themselves to even tolerate…Mr. Romney has also disqualified himself to even be dog-catcher.

**Gov. Rick Perry is distancing himself from Rev. Robert Jeffress, the Dallas pastor who introduced him Friday at the Values Voters Summit in Washington, D.C., after Jeffress told reporters that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's Mormon faith is a cult.

"Mitt Romney's a good, moral person, but he's not a Christian. Mormonism is not Christianity. It has always been considered a cult by the mainstream of Christianity," said Jeffress.”
