When we here in America are diminishing the most precious right we have: VOTING!
After the 2000 election when George W. Bush didn’t really win but was placed in power by one vote, that of Supreme Court Justice Thomas, I seriously placed in question whether DEMOCRACY was working in America and if it was to survive at all.
I questioned whether we were standing on high moral grounds to send in observers to make sure there was no fraud in the elections of other countries.
Right now, our right to vote is seriously jeopardized and curtailed by all these Republican-Tehadist election rigging throughout the country. How can we allow this to happen? How can we possibly relinquish the one most important right we have next to the pursuit of liberty and happiness?
What these Republicans are doing is repugnant and totally undemocratic, unconstitutional of course and this return to disenfranchising of huge numbers of voters is simply unacceptable. It harkens to the days of Jim Crow and telling people that they don’t have a right to vote unless they come up with unreasonable and unobtainable documents that are being required to let them vote.
We have to fight back, we are going to fight back
